Youth Holiday Program at AIC Kaptombes

At the same time of the holiday program for children there was a programm for the youth, too, from the 28th to the 30th of August 2013 at the AIC Kaptombes.
Like in Kapkuikui we spoke about „The Armour of God“(Ephesians 6). The youngster were very open and interested to learn more from the Bible.
After the Bible lectures we had a lot of fun by making funny games.
Every afternoon 16 to 20 youngsters were coming.
At the end of the three days they have asked us to come back in the next holidays.

Children Holiday Program at AIC Kaptombes

From the 28th to the 30th of August 2013 we were making a children holiday program at AIC Kaptombes.
Like in Kapkuikui the theme was „Jonah- Obey God and he will bless you“. On Wednesday almost 20 children were already waiting for us when we reached Kaptombes. Another 15 children came later.
First we were singing some songs in Kiswahili and English. After that Dani was telling the story of Jonah and one youngster of Kapkuikui was translating her into Kalengjin that also the very small children were able to understand the Bible story.
After that we were doing some arts. The children really enjoyed the program and they had a lot of fun with the water colouring and making arts from paperwork, like Jonah in the stomach of the big fish and a Jonah-Television.
Wednesday and Thursday we were making an outdoor game.
On Friday we were watching the movie about Jonah. For some it was the first time to watch a movie! After we were eating lunch together which was prepared by a few youngsters from Kaptombes, the holiday program for the children came to an end.
