Good bye from Standard VIII at Kapkuikui
From 11th to 14th of November there was the final examination for Standard VIII called KCPE in Kenya, also here at Kapkuikui.

After the last examination we went together with my parents to the Primary School at Kapkuikui. It was on the 14.11.13.

My mother was preaching a little bit, then we were praying for the future of the students.

After that we brought them biscuits and juice.

Please pray also for these young people. Thank you.

Prayer Day at Kapkuikui Primary School
At the 25th of October 2013 there was a prayerday for Standard VIII.

All the parents of the children in class seven and eight were invited to come.

Also the chief of Kapkuikui and his assistent chiefs were coming.

Even some elders of AIC Kapkuikui were joining, too.

Some pastors from the area were also there.

After welcoming everybody the headteacher was introducing the teachers.

Afterwards the pupils of class seven were presenting some songs.

After the songs some speeches were hold by serial people.

Even I got the opportunity to encourage the candidates.

A secundary teacher was holding the main speech. The was comparing the KCPE (Kenyan Certificate of Primary Education) examination with the battle between David and Goliath. And he encouraged the pupils to fight against Goliath (the KCPE).

Also he encouraged the parents of the candidates to stand behind their children.

A pastor of Marigat was preaching.

After the sermon he asked the candidates and their parents to come in front and he was praying for the examination.

Also the chief was speaking a kind of blessing.

After the words of thanks the afternoon was coming to an end.

The KCPE will start on the 12th of November and it will take three days. There are examinations in Kiswahili, English, Mathematics, Social Studies and Science.

Please pray for the candidates and their examination.

Movie afternoon about Hudson Taylor
In the last few weeks at the school in Kapkuikui we spoke about the life of Hudson Taylor.

Hudson was a man of prayer. He learnt to be completely dependent on God.

As a final about the theme, we were watching a movie about his life on the 10th of October 2013.

Evangelistic Outreach at Primary School Kapkuikui
Two weeks ago we have started to do the Pastoral program at the Primary School at Kapkuikui. The Pastoral Program is an evangelistic outreach at schools.

From now on every Thursday afternoon from 3 to 4 p.m. and Friday morning for one lesson we are teaching at the school at Kapkuikui.

Robert is teaching the smaller classes in Kiswahili. Till now he spoke about Josef and David. The children are very open and they really like stories.

I´m teaching the upper classes in English. On Thursday last week I started to speak about the life of Hudson Taylor and there are listening very carefully. On Friday mornings I´m speaking about the parables of Christ.

Today I spoke about “Lost things” and I was telling them the stories about “The Lost coin”, “The Lost sheep” and “The Prodigal Son”. After that I explained that in the eyes of God we are lost also and we need to be saved by Jesus Christ. The youngsters were listening carefully, too.

Please pray with me that the Holy Spirit will touch their hearts and that they want to receive Jesus as their Lord and Saviour…

Also were are singing some English worship songs together. Their favourite song is „Mercy is falling…“
